I appreciate the great communication from their shop. I always feel like I know what's going on.

I took my truck in the first time for a coolant smell then they said my engine needed to be replaced charged me 17000 then I went to Edmonton the truck broke down. Then I took it to Nissan 4000 and was on my way home the truck barely made it to gp took it back to Gp auto they said Nissan in Edmonton did not fix the problem it was the turbo booster seized another 13000. Then drove it to Peace river broke down there, got another shop too looK at it in Peace River and they said the timing was way off and they had a coat hanger holding my front grill and I got it towed to Grande Prairie to gp auto well the shop in Peace river didn't see the broken hose... what is with these other auto repair shops not fixing my truck? .thanks GP Auto done it for free because they knew I was stressed found and fixed it again

I left my Honda Civic at 8:00 AM for a wiper repair and was not advised of any delays. The vehicle was not inspected or repaired on the first day or the following morning. I was later informed on the second evening that more time was needed and asked to return that 2 days that is on Monday. I was charged $187 without any work being completed. The communication and service were not satisfactory

This place is an absolute joke.. I make an appointment..drop the vehicle off the night before.. getting oil change and inspection done on the car, called at 1230 since my appt was for 9, not done, he would check where there at and call me back. 3 comes and he calls me and tells me he will not be able to have to car done for us at all.. wasted a whole day with no car and dropping the vehicle off the night before since we live out of town. Just to be told acter waiting all day they cant not fix the car.. this place is a joke and a half and I would recommend anyone who wants there vehicle fixed when it's supose to be to go somewhere else

I was driving one day and my upper ball joint popped out and messed a few things up. So I got it towed to Grande prairie auto, they originally quoted me $1500 to replace the upper control arm and tie rods. Which I didn’t think it would cost that much. So I went to drag it back home which I ended up doing more damage, but anyway. To replace the Cv axle, upper and lower control arm, Cv axles,,wheel hub and and steering knuckle, was was over $6000. Plus I was told that my steering knuckle and other parts needed to be replaced because they were no good. I didn’t find anything wrong with them after I got the truck back. I ordered everything online for $900, unfortunately it’s a little sad when you try to get some work done and get charged an arm and a leg.

Mechanics are contracted not employees so theres little to no accountability. If the mechanic sais its needed then the shop wont protest. If a mechanic makes a error or is unscrupulous and decides to fix things that are not needed instead of what needs to be repaired then theres no accountability or protection. A 40% to 50% mark up on parts. If you decide on aftermarket parts the angle is you pay 3 -4 times the price but receive a warranty that sounds awesome but if the part does fail you can be assured you will still be out of pocket and who needs a 40k 2 year warranty if its not honoured if it does fail. Modern day snake oil salesman. If you decide to finance the repair absolutely do not let them know in advance you will be going the financing route before receiving the quote or they will quote you the full amount approved. Let anything go in adverse to what youd hope to expect then wait for the pitch. For those able to read in between the lines it only gives confirmation. So many red flags this place. The day of honest mechanics are gone for the most part and good shops are few and far in between but there are a couple locally. Unfortunately its a pay to learn process. Do your due diligence cover all bases. Just want people to be aware what to expect and go about instead of being blindsided.
